What will you do when you get Kanyed?
For one week in September, disrespect seemed to be wafting throughout the US like an airborne poison! In less than one calendar week, we saw three curious meltdowns:
Anti-Social Media. Beyond these three media-hyped events, rudeness seems to be a rising trend. As more people grow accustomed to expressing themselves in social media channels like FaceBook, blogs, Twitter, town hall meetings --- a noisy minority of spammers, boors, and anti-social sorts are using their newly found voices to devolve intelligent discussions into noisy, disruptive shouting matches. Expect to get Kanyed. When you give a presentation or speech -- what will you do when you "get Kanyed"? What will you do when someone interrupts you? Heckles you? Or what will you do when your Q and A gets hijacked by a boor who loves the sound of his own voice?
- Congressman Joe Wilson interrupts President Barack Obama by shouting a guttural "You Lie!"
- Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift's award acceptance speech by snatching away her microphone & declaring who should have won instead
- Serena Williams screams, threatens, and curses at a line judge who rules against her.

- Will you handle a disruption like Obama? With a pause, a glare, an upraised finger, and a three word rebuke?
- Will you handle it like Swift? With an incredulous gaze?
- Will you handle it like a line judge and issue a hefty fine? ;)
